Dr. Camponovo graduated from the University of Arizona College of Medicine in 1981 where he had been elected to the Medical Honorary Society Alpha Omega Alpha in his third year. /n He then spent 10 years in the United States Navy, including internship at the National Naval Medical Center, two years as a Naval Flight Surgeon onboard the USS Saratoga, residency at the National Naval Medical Center, and was a staff member in the Department of Radiology there. He ended his military career at the rank of Commander, as Chief of Radiology on the Hospital Ship Comfort in the first Gulf War. /n After discharge, he completed a Nuclear Medicine Fellowship at Georgetown University Medical Center. /n In 2002 he graduated from The Wharton School of Business with an MBA. /n Dr. Camponovo is Board Certified both in Radiology and Nuclear Medicine. He is experienced and versatile in all radiology modalities including PET/CT, has been a partner in two traditional practices and has been a full-time teleradiologist since 2006.
